Portugal's Watchful Software sold to Symantec

Portuguese technology company Critical Software has sold Watchful Software to Symantec for an undisclosed amount. The chairman of the Critical group, Joao Carreira, told Lusa news agency that the entire company was sold, including the brand, intellectual property, technology, products, customers and projects. As a result, Watchful will become part of Symantec's DLP (Data Loss Prevention) group. The company will remain based in Coimbra, Portugal, with its offices and R&D centre.
