Portuguese, Spanish cities call for end to roaming charges

An association of the 34 largest cities in North Portugal and Spain's Galicia region have called for the elimination of roaming tariffs for residents of the two countries in border areas, reports Noticias ao Minuto. The Eixo Atlantico (Atlantic Axis) has asked the government of the two countries to consider banning data and voice roaming surcharges when they meet at the upcoming Iberian Summit. They noted that a similar agreement was reached recently by the Belgian and Luxembourg governments.
