PrimeTel to roll out 4G network

PrimeTel successfully managed to secure a mobile network operator licence in Cyprus. The company business model evolves from a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) to Mobile Network Operator (MNO). Since May 2011, PrimeTel has signed up over 40,000 mobile subscribers. By securing this licence, the company will proceed to the design and development of a 4G network, Primetel said in a statement. CEO Hermes Stephanou said the company "fully recognizes that the future of broadband is mobile and as such we will proceed with this investment". Primetel aims to offer speeds of over 30 Mbps with its mobile broadband network.
