Belgian mobile operator Proximus announced that its 4G network has reached coverage of 35 percent of the population. The LTE network is now available in more than 100 Belgian cities and towns. In other areas customers can use the 3G network, which covers 99 percent of the population. The 3G network offers speeds of up to 21Mbps and up to 42Mbps for customers with a suitable device. Proximus said mobile data traffic on its network more than doubled year-on-year in the first quarter.
