Proximus board of directors approve transformation strategy, with less redundancies

The Proximus transformation plan, in the works with trade unions over the past few months, was submitted on 27 November to the Joint Committee for approval. The Belgian operator's board of directors said they remain convinced that this transformation plan is essential for Proximus: the company must accelerate its digital transformation to secure its future, continue to invest in the networks of the future and respond to the needs of its customers. The company is expected to make 1,300 positions redundant now, less than the 1,900 announced in January. A number of solutions have been put forth
