Proximus calls extraordinary meeting with unions

Monday 8 July 2019 | 11:35 CET | News
Proximus has invited its unions to an extraordinary meeting on 11 July, L'Echo reported, adding that no agenda or documents have yet been provided about the event. Proximus announced a new brand positioning last month, as a way to boost its market share. In January, the company started a major reorganisation plan, with the aim of reducing costs by EUR 240 million by 2022. To achieve its goal, the company said it would be eliminating jobs. Following the announcement, The Confederation of Christian Trade Unions (CSC) called on Proximus workers to go on strike on 16 January.
