Proximus updates business mobile plans

Tuesday 14 May 2019 | 16:46 CET | News

Proximus announced a new portfolio of Bizz Mobile plans, available from 03 June. The Belgian operator is also updating all its plans for the new price caps on intra-EU calls and SMS.

The standard price for calls from a fixed or mobile number to another EEA country will be EUR 0.2299 per minute including VAT from 15 May. The charging method will also be standardised, so that the first minute is always billed on both fixed and mobile calls, after which billing is by the second. That means no more call set-up fee for fixed calls.

SMS to the EEA countries will be EUR 0.0726 each including VAT from 15 May.

Existing bundles for international calls and SMS are still available and fall outside the price cap regulation. When the bundles are used up, the above tariffs apply.

For business customers, the company is introducing two new plans in June. Bizz Mobile Unlimited comes with unlimited data, calls and SMS in Belgium and the EU for EUR 40 per month, or EUR 37 per month with two Sim cards, excluding VAT. Data usage is subject to a limit of 25 GB per month, after which the speed is reduced in Belgium and a fee of EUR 0.0045 per MB is applied in the EU. The plan also offers affordable rates for outside the EU, with the included option Bizz International. New customers will receive a discount of EUR 5 per month the first six months during a promotional period.

Bizz Mobile International will cost EUR 55 per month, or EUR 52 in a package of two Sims. This adds to the above plan with 1 GB mobile data for use in the US, Canada and Switzerland, as well as 600 minutes and 600 SMS to or from these countries.

In addition, Proximus increased the data on its Bizz Mobile L plan from 7 GB to 10 GB. This plan also comes with unlimited calls and SMS and Bizz International, with no change in price. Bizz Mobile S and M plans are unchanged, while the Bizz Mobile XL Unlimited plan is discontinued for new customers.
