Proximus zero-rating does not violate net neutrality - BIPT

Belgian operator Proximus' offer of zero-rated data for select social media apps does not violate the EU's net neutrality rules, the regulator BIPT has found. Customers taking Proximus fixed-mobile bundle introduced last year are offered zero-rated data for one app of their choice, from six popular social media services. BIPT noted that Proximus does not discriminate among apps when the customer's data bundle is used up - the zero-rated apps are also cut off. Furthermore, based on Berec's guidelines for net net neutrality, the Belgian regulator found that Proximus's offer does not infringe
