PSBs make significant contribution to UK broadcasting

UK regulator Ofcom has published the conclusions of its 3rd review of public service TV broadcasting. The review examines how the BBC, ITV, STV, UTV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and S4C have fulfilled the purposes of public service broadcasting (PSB), and identifies options for how the system could be maintained and strengthened. Ofcom finds that the PSBs continue to make a significant contribution to UK broadcasting, with viewers valuing PSB programming and audience satisfaction high. Almost 8 in 10 (79%) viewers believe PSB is delivering on its purposes, up from 69 percent when the last review was
