PTS threatens Malarenergi with fine for poorly accessible details of construction work plans

Swedish communications regulator PTS has threatened the Malarenergi metropolitan network with a SEK 1.5 million fine if it does not start publishing information about its construction and maintenance schedule to allow other interested parties to take advantage of such works. Under the broadband expansion law, parties wishing to develop fixed or wireless networks may use other companies' infrastructure, or coordinate their development works with others, in the interests of efficiency. To this end, public network owners should publish relevant information.
