QiKu agrees Qualcomm licence for Chinese market

Qualcomm announced that it has entered into a Chinese Patent License Agreement (CPLA) with QiKu Internet Network Scientific (Shenzhen), a joint venture between Qihu and Coolpad that recently entered the Chinese smartphone market. Under the terms of the royalty-bearing agreement, Qualcomm has granted QiKu a patent licence to develop, manufacture and sell 3G WCDMA and CDMA2000 (including EV-DO) and LTE (including tri-mode GSM, TD-SCDMA and LTE-TDD) mobile devices for use in China. The royalties payable by QiKu are consistent with the terms of the rectification plan submitted by Qualcomm to
