Qualcomm develops HDMI streaming stick

Qualcomm has developed a reference design streaming stick. Similar to Google's Chromecast, the Qualcomm 4K Streaming Adapter is an HDMI stick that plugs into the TV to support streaming online video. It's based on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 mobile processor and runs the Adnroid OS. According to a report from Slash Gear, the working prototype supports a range of connectivity options, including 802.11ac Wi-Fi, LTE Broadcast and LTE in the unlicensed 5 GHz band. Qualcomm said it had received strong interest from manufacturers for the reference design, but declined to name any potential customers
