Qualcomm launches Snapdragon 850 for always-on Windows laptops

Qualcomm announced new collaborations with Samsung and US carrier Sprint at Computex to develop gigabit LTE chips for Windows portable computers. The company announced a joint effort with Samsung Electronics to integrate the new Snapdragon 850 Mobile Compute Platform, featuring the Snapdragon X20 and Qualcomm AI Engine, in a future device. It also teamed up with Sprint to allow the US carrier to offer its customers free unlimited data in 2018 with AutoPay on Qualcomm Snapdragon Always Connected PCs from Asus, HP and Lenovo. Windows 10 devices powered by the Snapdragon Mobile Compute Platform
