Qualcomm launches wearables platform with NB-IoT

Qualcomm announced a new wearables platform incorporating LTE M1 (eMTC) and NB-IoT connectivity. Snapdragon Wear 1200 takes advantage of the wide coverage provided by the emerging LTE narrowband technologies, to bring low-power, high efficiency connectivity to wearable devices such as kid, pet, elderly, and fitness trackers. This complements the existing Snapdragon Wear 1100 and Snapdragon Wear 2100 platforms, which offer more classic mobile connectivity.

I am curious when Qualcomm will start selling Snapdragon Wear 1200. I heard that the US isn’t likely adopt NB-IOT anytime soon anyways: https://www.link-labs.com/blog/3-reasons-you-should-forget-about-nb-iot
