Qualcomm lets go of 269 employees, mainly from data centre unit

Qualcomm has let go of 269 employees at its offices in Raleigh, North Carolina, and San Diego in California, the Information reported, citing documents it has seen. The news was confirmed to TechCrunch. Most of the layoffs will take place at the company's data centre unit. Raleigh, where the data centre business is located, lost 144 employees, while San Diego, the company's hometown, lost 125. The company cut 1,500 jobs earlier this year, mainly in California.
