Qualcomm announced the appointment of Mark McLaughlin as chairman of its board from 13 August, replacing Jeff Henderson, who held the position since March 2018. Henderson will remain on the board and continue to chair the audit committee.
McLaughlin is the former chairman and CEO of Palo Alto Networks and will be the second independent chairman of Qualcomm. He has sat on the board since July 2015 and is still vice-chairman of Palo Alto Networks. He previously worked as CEO of VeriSign and chairman of the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee.
