Qualcomm starts new USD 5 bln share buy-back programme

Thursday 12 September 2013 | 16:52 CET | News
Qualcomm has approved a new USD 5.0 billion share buy-back programme. The new programme replaces the previous USD 5.0 billion share buy-back programme announced in March 5, when the company also said it would increase its quarterly cash dividend by 40 percent. Since 24 July, the company has repurchased around 40.1 million shares for USD 2.7 billion. The company said that the new programme reflects its strong financial position and commitment to returning capital to stockholders. Qualcomm has returned over USD 25 billion to shareholders via share buy-backs or cash dividends since 2003.
