Qualcomm to abandon effort to develop server chips - report

Qualcomm is preparing to give up its push to develop ARM-based processors for data-centre servers, a person familiar with the company's plans told Bloomberg. The company launched its first products to challenge Intel at the end of last year, but has been quiet about the business since, and has been looking for ways to reduce costs.
