Qualcomm to join Softbank US investment fund - report

Wednesday 4 January 2017 | 09:49 CET | News
Qualcomm plans to invest in the new US investment fund being set up by Japan's Softbank, people familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal. Softbank earlier announced plans to invest up to USD 100 billion through the fund, which is also expected to include Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund and Apple. It's not known how much each company will contribute. The fund has gathered the USD 100 billion in commitments it was seeking and is set to formally launch in the coming weeks, according to the WSJ's sources.
