Qualcomm unveils 5G new radio spectrum sharing prototype

Qualcomm has announced its first 5G New Radio (NR) spectrum sharing prototype system and trial platform, designed to show that 5G spectrum sharing technologies will bring higher levels of mobile broadband performance and extend 5G into new types of IoT deployments. The company said the sharing prototype system complements its existing 5G NR sub-6 GHz and millimeter wave prototype systems and will also serve to test new 5G spectrum sharing technologies and drive 3GPP 5G NR standardization.
