Qualcomm vice chairman Altman to retire

Qualcomm announced that its vice chairman Steve Altman decided to retire from Qualcomm, effective from 3 January 2014. Moving forward, he will continue to serve as a strategic consultant to the company. Altman served as a member of Qualcomm's executive committee for nearly 15 years, providing direction and guidance on key initiatives across all areas of the business, as well as on overall company vision and strategy. He joined Qualcomm in 1989 and his leadership roles have included General Counsel, President of QTL, President of Qualcomm and, most recently, vice chairman.
