Rabobank, KPN to start 'soon' with mobile payments

Wednesday 9 March 2016 | 10:46 CET | News
Rabobank is in the final phase of testing mobile payments on KPN Sim cards and expects to announce soon a commercial launch of the service, a spokesperson told Telecompaper. The companies announced in January plans to test UICCs and use the Secure Element on KPN's Sims to support contactless payments on NFC Android phones. A launch is expected in the spring, possibly as early as this month, the spokesperson said.
