Rabobank launches NFC mobile payments service

Dutch bank Rabobank introduced the mobile payments service Rabo Wallet. The service allows customers with NFC smartphones to pay at the point of sale with a swipe of the phone, and have the payment taken off their Rabobank bank account. Contactless payments are available at around 66,000 POS in the Netherlands, and the Rabo Wallet can also be used abroad. Customers need to enter a PIN on the phone for transactions over EUR 25, and they can lower this amount if they wish. Rabobank has also integrated loyalty cards into the service and said it plans to add additional services such as parking
