Radisys unveils virtualised RAN accelerator platform to advance 5G deployment

Radisys announced the delivery of what it calls the industry's first virtualised RAN accelerator platform to advance 5G deployment. The smart, virtualised RAN Accelerator platform enables mobile operators to offload compute-intensive operations such as networking and cryptography workloads onto FPGA boards and free up valuable CPU resources on standard x86 platforms.
