Rakuten launches marketplace in the UK

Japanese e-commerce group Rakuten has launched a marketplace for the UK, which will start by offering products from UK merchants before expanding to include international merchants in the future. Rakuten.co.uk offers a broad range of products in categories such as food and drink, health and beauty, and clothing and pet care. Starting in December, customers will be able to access digital services from Rakuten subsidiaries Kobo for e-books and Wuaki for TV series and films. The portal will also offer the Rakuten Super Points customer loyalty scheme, offering them a point for every GBP 1 they
