Ramos confirmed as new Millicom executive director

Millicom announced that its shareholders have approved the nomination committee's proposal to elect current CEO Mauricio Ramos as new executive director, to re-elect Jose Antonio Rios Garcia as chairman and reappoint Rios Garcia, Odilon Almeida, Tomas Eliasson, Pernille Erenbjerg, Mercedes Johnson, Lars-Ake Norling and James Thompson as non-executive directors. Ramos joined Millicom as CEO in April 2015, having previously served as president of Liberty Global's Latin American division, a position he held from 2006 until February 2015.
