Raspberry Pi 2 goes on sale for USD 35

Monday 2 February 2015 | 13:21 CET | News
The new Raspberry Pi 2 mini computer is available now for USD 35. The computer features a faster processor than its predecessor, at 900MHz quad-core based on the ARM Cortex-A7, and double the memory, with 1GB of LPDDR2 SDRAM. Broadcom provides the SoC, the BCM2836, and the memory comes from Micron. The computer is for sale online from Element14 and RS Components. The new design is expected to support a wider range of open-source applications, incuding Ubuntu. In addition, Microsoft has pledged to offer Windows 10 free to Raspberry Pi 2 users when it's available.
