RCom to offer Free Basics app

Indian mobile operator Reliance Communications has started offering the Internet.org FreeBasics app, giving customers free data for access to websites such as Facebook. Facebook CEO Marck Zuckerberg announced the news on the social network, highlighting how the service will help professions such as farmers gain access to important information from sites like AccuWeather and Reuters Market Light. Other sites included in the Free Basics service are BBC News, ESPN, Dictionary.com and Unicef. Reliance launched the initial version of the Internet.org service in February in a number of regions
