Reggefiber lowers target for homes passed in 2014

Monday 10 February 2014 | 09:33 CET | News
KPN is planning to slow its investment in the roll-out of FTTH in the Netherlands, it announced at a presentation of annual results. Its fibre venture Reggefiber has a target of 250,000 additional homes passed in 2014, equal to around EUR 200 million in capital expenditure. In the fourth quarter of 2013, it added another 79,000 homes passed to the network, for a total 385,000 additional connections in 2013, the same as in 2012. KPN is in the process of raising its stake in Reggefiber to 60 percent. Exercising the option and consolidating the company still requires regulatory approval.
