Regulatory demands could scupper O2, E-Plus deal - report

Thursday 16 January 2014 | 11:16 CET | News
Demands from Germany's anti-trust body could result in Telefonica's proposed takeover of E-Plus collapsing, reports inside-handy.de. According to well-informed sources, regulators are demanding that O2 gives up its DSL business to become a pure mobile operator. They are also understood to be concerned about the mobile frequency packages held by both operators, and would require them to hand some spectrum back in the event of any merger proceeding.
