Reliance Jio to use fibre pair on Airtel's submarine cable

Indian mobile operator Bharti Airtel and telecommunication company Reliance Jio Infocomm (Reliance Jio) have signed an Indefeasible Right to Use (IRU) Agreement, under which Airtel will provide Reliance Jio with data capacity on its i2i submarine cable. The i2i cable connects India to Singapore. The cable consists of eight fibre pairs using DWDM supporting multiple terabits of capacity per fibre pair. Reliance Jio will use a dedicated fibre pair on i2i. The link will enable Reliance Jio to extend its network and service across the Asia Pacific region. It will connect Reliance Jio directly to
