RIM BlackBerry services in EMEA hit by major fault
RIM's BlackBerry services have suffered a major fault, affecting online services for customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). All customers in the EMEA region are served by a RIM data centre in Slough, UK. The problems began at around 11.00 hours on 10 October and left millions of customers unable to browse the web or instant messages, or access other online services such as e-mail. In a message posted on Twitter, RIM said that some users in the EMEA were experiencing issues and that it was investigating the cause of the problem.
