RIM updates PlayBook OS software

Research In Motion (RIM) has announced an OS software update for the PlayBook tablet. The new version 2.1 offers various new features and functionality, including updated BlackBerry Bridge to view, respond and compose new SMS messages on a PlayBook Tablet when connected to a BlackBerry smartphone over Bluetooth; e-mail and PIM enhancements with portrait support for email, calendar and contacts; and improved Android application support.
