Ring doorbell app 'packed' with third-party tracking - EFF

The Doorbell app of Amazon-owned Ring isn't only capturing video but is "packed" with third-party tracking, according to the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF). In a blog post, the EFF revealed that Ring's Android app is capturing "personally identifiable information" including names, private IP addresses, mobile network carriers, persistent identifiers and sensor data on the devices hosting the app.
