Rivada appeals against Mexico shared network exclusion

The Rivada Networks consortium led by Ireland-based businessman Declan Ganley has lodged an appeal against its disqualification from the tender to build and run Mexico's wholesale shared network on the 700 MHz band, reports business daily El Universal. Earlier this week, the country's Secretariat of Communications and Transportation (SCT) announced that the group made up of Rivada Networks and Spectrum Frontier did not submit a required "letter of credit" for MXN 1 billion in time and was thus disqualified, leaving the Altan consortium made up of Mexican operators Megacable and Axtel as the
