Rivals block Loop SMS, calls for non-payment of MTRs

Tuesday 4 November 2014 | 07:01 CET | News
Loop Telecom customers' outgoing calls and messaging services have been restricted. Loop has not paid interconnection charges and mobile termination charges to other operators for completing its calls on their networks. Thus Loop's rivals have shut their network to Loop's subscribers. Loop customers who try to make off-net calls receive this message after failing to connect, "This call cannot be completed due to non-payment of inter-connect charges by Loop Telecom. Please contact your service provider", The Economic Times reports. Loop Mobile operates only in the Mumbai circle.
