Rogers heads to court in board dispute with shareholder family

Rogers Communications is going to court with its controlling shareholder Rogers Control Trust following a dispute over board nominations at the company. The company said the Supreme Court of British Columbia will hold a hearing 01 November regarding the legality of Edward Rogers' attempt to replace five of the company's independent directors with nominees of the Rogers Control Trust through a written resolution, without convening a meeting of shareholders. The company considers the move by the former chairman illegal.
