Roku best STB, Fire Stick top dongle to stream TV - study

The Amazon Fire TV STB offers the best hardware specifications compared to Apple TV, Google TV and Roku, according to a streaming TV product comparison exercise by UK website Digital Spy. Describing it as "the fastest and most powerful streaming device", the Amazon Fire TV is built around a quad-core processor with 2 GB of RAM for "incredibly quick" navigation. Its ports include HDMI, optical audio, Ethernet and USB. The Apple TV STB has a single-core A5 chip, 512 MB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage, but navigation is responsive despite the lower spec.
