Roku announced at CES plans to expand its OEM licensing programme, first unveiled in 2014 at the Las Vegas trade show. In 2016, the company plans to launch the first 4K UHD Roku TV models, introduce the Roku TV HDR reference design, and launch nearly 60 new models with OEMs using the Roku platform. At the end of 2015, the company already claimed an 8 percent share of smart TVs in the US, with 1 million Roku TVs in the homes of consumers. In addition to the US and Canada, the Roku TVs will launch soon in Mexico.
