Romanian draft law to require pre-authorisation of safe 5G suppliers

Romania's Supreme Council of National Defense (CSAT) will decide which suppliers of 5G network equipment are safe, according to draft legislation on the government's agenda 14 April. According to local publication Hotnews.com, the draft law takes into account the obligations assumed by the Romanian state towards the EU and strategic partners, including avoid security risks stipulated in the 5G memorandum signed by Romania with the US.
