Rostelecom expands broadband network in Sakhalin

Russian national operator Rostelecom has expanded its fibre optical network in the Sakahlin region. More than 1,400 households have been covered with the network in the town of Chekhov there.

The network under the MetroEthernet technology has enabled the customers to use broadband at up to 15 Mbps, as well as to watch more than 220 IPTV-channels, including more than 80 HDTV-channels.
