Rostelecom revenues up 13% in Q3

Revenues of Russian national operator Rostelecom totaled RUB 135.0 billion in the third quarter, up by 13 percent year-on-year. OIBDA increased 17 percent to RUB 53.7 billion, and the OIBDA margin grew by 1.5 percentage points to 39.8 percent. The net profit amounted to RUB 12.0 billion, up by 31 percent.

Capital expenditure totaled RUB 24.3 billion, increasing from RUB 18.8 billion in the year-earlier period. Free cash flow jumped by 26 percent to RUB 19.5 billion, and the net debt of the company totaled RUB 410.0 billion at the end of September, equal to 2.2x annualised OIBDA.  

According to CEO Mikhail Oseevsky, mobile and digital services remained the key growth drivers.

Internet subscribers amounted to 13.4 million, up by 3 percent year-on-year, and the retail broadband customer base also grew 3 percent, to 12.3 million. Corporate broadband and VPN customers grew by 6 percent to 1.1 million.

Pay-TV users reached 10.7 million, up by 4 percent. This included 5.9 million IPTV subscribers, up by 8 percent. The IP-telephony customer base soared by 62 percent to 147,000, while local telephony customers dropped 9 percent to 14.5 million.

Retail broadband ARPU dropped by 1 percent to RUB 390. Corporate broadband and VPN ARPU declined by 7 percent to RUB 3,231. Pay-TV ARPU was RUB 245, down by 1 percent. MVNO subscribers reached 1.351 million, up by 55 percent.
