Rostelecom, Tele2 Russia negotiate MVNO terms
Russian national operator Rostelecom is in talks with the mobile operator Tele2 Russia to start offering MVNO services, Sergey Kalugin, the CEO of Rostelecom, told news agency Prime. Tele2 Russia would be able to services over the 3G network of Rostelecom, and Rostelecom would gain access to the GSM networks of Tele2 Russia. Rostelecom currently owns 3G networks in 27 regions, while Tele2 Russia holds licences for GSM services in 42 regions. Tele2 Russia has no licences for 3G services. The negotiations are currently at the initial stage, the CEO said.
