Rostelecom to expand network in Yamal

Russian national operator Rostelecom plans to continue the expansion of its fibre optical network in the Yamal-Nenets region this year. Broadband services from the national operator will become accessible for 10,000 additional households in 14 settlements: Noyabrsk, Muravlenko, Gubkinskiy, Purpe, Novy-Urengoy, Nadym, Pangody, Tarko-Sale, Korotchayevo, Purovsk, Syvdarma, Urengoy, Salekhard and Labytnangi.  The national operator is using GPON technology to expand its network in the region.
