Rotterdam city council to vote against Chinese 5G suppliers

A majority of the Rotterdam city council supports a resolution calling for extra security requirements for 5G networks in order to protect the strategic interest of the Rotterdam harbour. Several council members have called for Chinese suppliers such as Huawei to be excluded from 5G network construction, as the networks could be used for espionage or sabotage, the FD reports.
