RTR recommends targeted supply of 5G in urban centres instead of nationwide expansion

Austrian regulator RTR has taken the unusual step of openly commenting on the government's plans to have the whole country covered by 5G networks by 2025, reports Der Standard. According to RTR, this is neither "useful nor financially viable", given the topography of the Alpine republic. RTR proposes that instead of the mountains and valleys, the metropolitan areas should be covered.
