Russia may test cyber defences with internet 'unplugging' test

Russia is thinking of disconnecting from the global internet briefly, as part of a test for its cyber-defences, reports the BBC. The test will mean that data passing between Russian citizens and organisations will stay inside the nation rather than being routed internationally. The test is expected take place before 1 April but no exact date has been set.
