Russian govt could enforce use of domestic encryption for all internet traffic

The Russian parliamentary committee on information policy has prepared draft amendments to the law for a separate, domestic internet network, which has recently been adopted by parliament, reports Cnews.ru. If the amendments are adopted, providers would be obliged to encrypt all the data traffic on the Russian segment using encryption systems of  Russian origin.
