Russian Railways to deploy quantum networks under deal with federal govt

State-owned company Russian Railways will develop quantum communications under the framework of an agreement with the federal government, reports Cnews.ru. This will be used as an efficient mode of encryption for information to be transferred over long distances. The company has founded a special unit for this purpose, which will cooperate intensively with companies focusing on technologies and with researchers.
