Safaricom, Ethio Telecom agree to apply equal voice termination rates

Ethiopian incumbent operator Ethio Telecom has reached an agreement with Kenya's Safaricom to apply equal termination tariff rates for voice calls. Ethio Telecom said this follows its request in January to apply equal voice call termination rates among operators in Africa to help spur integration. It said Safaricom agreed to implement the initiative as of 10 June.
